Once Upon A Singapura

Day 1:

My 1st station after Changi Airport is National University of Singapore.

The university is huge. I got to join the refreshment time with the freshies... Feel so young although Arnan kept on introduced to others that I graduated and working soon... Thanks!

Thank to Kok Hau for purposely travelled all the way from NUS to Changi Airport and bring me to visit NUS. It took him about 3 hours...I felt so guilty...

Dinner: McD... With Kok Hau... Here the chili is different, is garlic chili, those we used to eat with dim sum... and cannot refill your drink!

Day 2:

I woke up at around 11am... was too tired for walking too much on 1st day... haha...

Lunch: Mee Siam... taste really different...

I shop around the hotel area. Was having sales here... I bought 2 really very cheap skirts...

I try 1 of the skirt in a shop, it costs $39, I am thinking too expensive, better don't buy. Walk to another shop, saw the same skirt and it is only... $10 and cannot try... Is all right, I already try it out =)

Dinner: Bugis Juction... With Ree Nah... Thanks for belanja us makan... Nice fish noodles and desserts... Yummy!

Day 3:

Walk around in Bugis Street, Bugis Juction and shopping malls there... attracted by 1 of the shop... So, bought 2 shirts there...

Lunch: Duck Noodle... Yummy! You won't find this in Malaysia...

Dinner: Steamboat buffet... With my aunt and cousins... Thanks for belanja us makan too... Nice having fun with them and went to explanade had a night sightseeing... Beautiful!

Day 4:

Lepak in my aunt's house... She cook for lunch... Nyonya style chicken... Yummy! I ate until very very full... Walk around with her in nearby shopping complex and having tea time there... Feel so blessed by her =)

Dinner: Meet up with Jerusha, Ruth, Arnan and the joining of Alvin's team leader, Acacia... Tiong Bahru... Nice meeting up with them... May the blessings of God be upon them in their studies... All the best... And Arnan, please win the award for the most "kiasu" and "kiasi" student... haha...

Had a short hour of shopping in Orchard... Try out the ice-cream there... Unique...

Day 5:

Shopping in CityHall... I regreted! but happy to buy Alvin a surf pants... Nice!

Dinner: Meet up with Sook Mun... my long lost friend... Thank for belanja me makan Pasta and Pizza and dessert... Special and Yummy! Walk around with her and talk alot about the past and the present... and she is still keeping the photo took with me in her purse!!! side by side with her photo she took with her boyfriend... I felt so touched... 6 years! nice meeting up with you, my friend... See you and take care =)

The last night in hotel and I couldn't fall asleep...

Day 6:

The total bill for hotel, 6 days 5 nights is $1500++, Shock! Luckily, it is all covered by Alvin's company.

Had a breakfast with Alvin in airport then sent him off to Malaysia d... And I am in aunt's house now... I will be back home tomorrow! Yeah =)

Conclusion: I had a blessed holidays... Felt so happy to be able to meet up with all my friends... Feel so blessed by my aunt's families and my friends... Thank you very much... Muaksssss =)

I am on Holiday!

Finally, I am on holiday...
A good new for all my friends, I got a job d...
Gonna work in KPMG, starting on 16th Aug...
So,before that, I have a pre-employment holiday!
Hurray... *Actually everything will be paid by my mum...*

I came to Singapore by flight. The very 1st time I am on a plane...
The experience is really shock...
I enjoy the moment on the sky...
Everything below were so small... and BEAUTIFUL =)

And I realized God's creations is seriously very beautiful...
Everything became so small, I can't even see a man, or even a car...
And this is just above the sky of Malaysia area, what about the whole world?
Nobody can see the whole world with our limited vision...
The world is so so so big... Yet, God can see everyone of us...
He is really a very very very amazing God...

Job Interviews

I supposed to help my dad with his business... but my sister asked me to get a job after I resigned... Erm... It is all right... as I planned to work in audit firm...

So... So... So...
Recently, I am busying attend interviews...
I experienced 2 very unique and challenging interviews...

1.
I was asked to write an essay... then 2 tests : numerical test and verbal reasoning test...
then, interview... I was totally not prepared for everything... So, I will either get an offer to work in Malacca or say "Good Bye" to KPMG which is one of the top 4 firms in Malaysia...

2.One of the top 4 audit firm too... I sit for the assessment tests : write an essay, english language test, and intelligence test... Erm... I pray hard that I will pass all the tests so I will be called for interview... I pray and I asked God for direction =)

Conclusion =)

I still owe my blog readers about the conclusion of my 19 days test...
At the end of 19th day, I picked up Alvin from airport... I was so excited and happy when saw him =)

Throughout this 19days, I grow up mentally... and he grow up physically... haha...
I am able to live alone and do things on my own... and he gained weight... haha...
After the 19days, we love each other more...
I appreciate him even more...
Truly thanks God for bless me so much =)
Bless me with a good family...
Bless me with a good relationship...
Bless me with a lot of good friends...

I moved out from Charis d...
Now, still staying in KL...
When I packed my things, memory flashed...
It started with Gavin, Hooi Wen, Wai May, Ah Piao, Andrew Yap, Valene, Paul...
Then later Kar Yee, Daniel, Ricky, Kel Sern, Kel Vin, Evelyn...
Then Ivan, Kok Hau, Shaun...
Thanks for left lots of sweet memory to me when I am staying there...
Without each and everyone of you, I will not growing mentally...
God is really great... Blessed me with an opportunity to stay in Charis...
I so keberatan to leave...
But have too...
I gonna pick up myself and walk forward =)

Is Christian Fellowship's Freshmen Night...
Feel so glad that I got an opportunity to join...
Met a lot of new faces... Freshies are so energetic and friendly...
This year the flow of the activities was different...
It made me feel like I am one of the freshie...
Can't deny that I am... Young! =P

19/5/10 Wednesday
Had a bbq steamboat buffet with some of the cell members...
Vincent, Evelyn, Joshua, Nicholas and Charles...
Special thanks to Vincent and Joshua for cooking the food for us...
Evelyn and I were just sitting there, keep on enjoying our food...
The food was great... RM 26.80 per person...
It is really very worth it! Each and everyone of us sure already ate more than that price... haha..

Ending is the Beginning

Today, the long hours of P2 tuition class finally end..
Bye bye my friends, hope next time will meet u all again oh... it is really wonderful to have you all in the class... enjoy going makan with you all... and eat a lot of fruit during class... haha...

Now, is the beginning of study crazily for exam...

Focus... Focus... Focus... Fully focus...

A Blur Blur Day

Half of the days of Alvin trip to Australia ends... Still got another 9 days to go...
I am happy that I can see him soon... but quite sad also, as it is nearer to my exam day!

This day number 9 start with no electricity in TBR... Argh... At late night 3.30am...
While I was sleeping sweetly and charged up myself for coming 9 hours class...
When the surrounding become super dark, I realized my eyes and ears became more alert than before...
I heard a lot of noise outside... the cat sound which I usually don't hear it, due to my fan is quite loud... Motorbike sound... This sound quite scary to me... Because snatch thief usually on bike...

Anyway, I do fall asleep when half way listening to different kind of sounds, I dream...
I dreamed of a hand came in from my room window, trying to take my car keys and house keys...
Which is super scary! I shout, but no voice at all... That usually happened in nightmare...
I got shocked and straight wake up...
Oh...TNB... Can you please don't give better services to us?
especially when I am alone in room... and no one accompany me... Thank you!

Then, finally my first day of 9 hours class ends...
I got more confidence to this subject already... Revision class is really effective!
Thank God for grant me concentration and understanding although I got no enough sleep =)

A Broken Heart

Recently, I heard a lot of broken heart stories...
My friends, my heart broke with you too when you share with me your stories...
Anyway, I want to say this to you...

"Don't be sad what has over, but be glad that things have not turn out to be worst than this."

I understand you... It is hard to overcome...
The more you want to forget, the more suffer you are...
Friends, do keep in mind that God's love will never fail anyone of us...
He is our Father, He knows us well... He prepared the best things for us...
When you are sad, tell yourself that it is not worth for you to cry anymore...
When you are thinking what if... what if... stop thinking about it, think about what is waiting for you in front...

Tomorrow will be better...
God will provide the best for us at His own timing...
Pray and He will answer you...
May be not immediately but definitely will answer you 1 day later...
As He loves us, He don't want us to have this broken heart too...

My friends, Jesus loves you, look upon Him always and commit everything onto His hand...
Our pain... What is this,man? If compared to the pain Jesus suffered when He died on the cross for us... so always pray when you are sad... and remember I will be here for you too =)

My Dreaming Day...

Yesterday -13/5 I was woke up by this little yellow bird...Every morning, it will come and knock at my room's window... Then lepak whole day at home until I drive up to kl....
Have a nice dinner with kel vin and evelyn in Vietnamese kitchen...
We chose this restaurant as 3 of us never try it before... Is nice! and not really expensive =)

Today - 14/5
I read 1 chapter of P2 - Revenue...
Then dreaming till now... I am preparing myself for coming 3 days class...
Sat and Sun class will be from 10am to 7pm...
Mon class will be from 10am to 5pm...

Yesterday, I dream of, instead of go class, I went to church on Sunday as I forget there is class... hoho... I am really too stress up... I straight woke up and think twice when is my class... haha...

I pray that Lord will provide strength for me to study in this 1 month... exactly 1 month now till my 1st paper... I won't crazy... I will study hard and smart =)

What am I busy with recently ???

I am busy with preparing for ACCA exam in June...
And I found out this...

Haha... Of course it is wrong... Although I am quite demotivated...
Anyway, I will be more motivated to study...

Day 4

Sharing is caring… so this day started with spending time talking with kok hau as he is moving out tonight… talk with him till 1am then we went mamak yam chah as is his last night in tbr…

Glad that able to spend some time catch up with you before you left Charis… but doesn’t mean that this is forever good bye k, lim kok hau… hope that will still meet up and have a gathering in the future… Anyway, may God bless u in your future undertakings =)

Early in the morning, I received a called from my sister… Need to help her move her computer to dad’s office…

I have a date with my CEO… Say Hi to my CEO... haha...

She so concentrate in writing... she always come to us and said "xie ji...xie ji... and shake shake her hand.."

Today is a very important day for the freshie in tarc… My sister atteded it… and she got a college t-shirt… Finally,she is studying in college now… The quality for t-shirt is so good… is my fovourite colour, navy blue… and is jersey material… design also nice! Can I have one too?

Oh…today I got a question from my dad… “How long more is ur studies? Erm…… It felt like you study for so long already and still not yet end… ” I am also quite frustrated with my studies too… Feel like there is no break for me… I need a break!

Anyway, I officially start my revision for P2… but due to sleep for only 5 hours plus, my brain can’t function! Oh no… I will reject whoever that ajak me go mamak from today onwards… I want to sleep by 10pm… I need a healthy lifestyle to study =)

I pray that God will grant me strength, wisdom, and good understanding in my studies =)

Sunday- A Rest Day

Day 3 ends... Actually I lost count on the days... It feels very long already... But it really made me feels that days end fast... 3 days, do open up my eyes and my mind to accept changes...
Anyway, the title shall roughly tell what I did today...haha... Doing NOTHING!

Erm...think about it...not really lar...
When I woke up, attend church with family... Have a good time of fellowship with my grandparents and aunty, uncle, cousins... Long time didn't see them already... Get to talk to them... And wish my grandmother a happy mother's day =)

My younger sister is now staying near me... As she is studying in tarc now... taking quantity surveying course... Erm... There are good and bad... Good that I can take care of her... As she is the big baby in my family... But I am trying to let her learn to be independent... Yeah! Bad is my expenses doubled up!!! Is ok, will ask mum to give me more pocket money...hehe...

The highlight of today is...
Girls' Gathering...
Me, Eunice, Kar Mun, Jia Wen, Galilee, Karen...
Went out to mamak for a short meeting up... As tomorrow Eunice is leaving to camp for 3 weeks... Have a very enjoying although short moment with them...
Girls... we shall have one again next time...

Another highlight is the rats in tbr are increasing in number... and may be also size...
And cats are getting more and more useless...
When 2 rats are running around the dustbin... The cat squatting beside the dustbin and shivering...
Oh...... The writer of the children 's books, please go and get me a cat that catch rat for me if you can... Thanks!

At the end of today, I am looking back and thinking of stories behind my friends...
To my God, I really glad that I know You... It is such a big blessing for me...
To my family, I really feel very thankful for your presence in my life...

Saturday - A Lazy Day

Today is May 8, 2010… is my best friend, Sook Mun’s birthday…Blessed birthday to you,girl… May your life continue to be so wonderful in Singapore…

Early in the morning,I was trying to study…But sister forced me to go shopping with her.So,drive her to the nearest shopping complex lo…Jusco!

My achievement for today:-

1. Bought a new shirt… my favourite line shirt…

2. A pair of shoe… this will replace what I usually wore to class… haha =)

3. Wash my car… Yeah, it is so clean now... but during the time I washed my car, it started to rain... I wonder why, every time I washed my car, will sure rain! Ish... is ok... as long as I cleaned it...

4. Study… little bit... progress still slow...

5. Celebrate mother’s day! Happy mother’s day to all the mothers… my house alone already got 4 mothers… wow… May God’s blessings be upon each and everyone of you =)

Today when I went to shopping complex… Jonathan force me to bring him to play this…

Bowling… Not bad… He scored 122! Although the machine’s design looks simple to get high score, still there is “longkang” at both side…

He got strike for a numbers of time…

He got supporters too… Got a few people were looking at him play… and clap!haha…

And he told me, “I miss ko ko!”… U should know who r u… I miss you too =)

The beginning - Journey of Learning...

Yesterday night, alvin has finally flied off to my most wanted place to go, Australia... Before sent him to airport, I had a wonderful dinner with his family.. We had baked chicken and different type of salads and sparkling juice...A very delicious dinner and good time of fellowship with his family =)

Then is time to send him to airport... after a good bye hug, then is the beginning of my new short journey...since the day I know him, the maximum day that he is not beside me is may be 3 days or 4 days...This is a first time for so long... 19 days... actually not too long also...But this is definitely a test for both of us...pray that things will turn out to be good...yeah, for sure...I will become a tougher and stronger girl at the end...anyway,when he back,I shall have a conclusion...haha...

The 1st day start with a sleepless night...was thinking about his situation on the plane...he definitely enjoy it,I know... He got a beautiful night view after raining... so,the sky is really very clear...exactly at 5.30am,I woke up...is the time he reached...haha...
*laugh at myself also...I realized a lot during the whole night...*

Today my achievement is:
-went for a facial treatment... feel so good to touch my face now... the condition is very much better than last few months =)
-study 2 chapters of P2... feel very bad... whole day feel so tired,my brain moved slowly...not good...not good =(

The highlight of today is Chili...
when I was having dinner, it is normal that Kar Yan will come and stick to me and said "moom...moom..."
She stood on the chair next to me... While I am eating, she hold a plate of chilies... It is too late when I stop here from putting a small chili into her mouth... This is still fine...
But later she took 1 more and bite it... haha...

The picture shall be able to describe how she felt...Ask for water immediately...haha...

Her lips become so red... and she sweat a lot...haha...

Next time, she should be don't dare to touch chili d...haha...
Okay, that the end of 1st day...
It ends happily with a good night =)

Yoh... It is YouthWave 2010...
Feel so excited for it, so this year there are 3 teams from KL went all the way to Penang just to join this...

The girl team... Salichicks!
Go!Go!Salichicks!
After face off with 3 teams in qualifying stage...
CGL Snipers... draw! 1-1
Contact Sugar... lost! 1-0
*At this very crucial moment, we took the risk to change our strategy...*
During the game with Jack Jack... we won! 2-0
So the new strategy worked!

and we manage to get into knock out stage...
Face off with a girl team from Z-tec... we won! 3-1

And this had lead us further to quarter Final... So sad that we lost... 2-1...
And we have told that the end of our game... and we got back to our seat with a feeling of quite down but still smiling... As all of us had try our very very very best!

Anyway, the hope to enter final have not end...
We are asked to play immediately for the next game... 3rd/4th placing...
And we met with Contact Sugar again...
This team is really strong... they beat all the teams that they met during the qualifying stage including us...
But this time we won!!! so so happy...
All of us put our very best afford and push ourselves to over our limit...

Back to the shop that we had our cendol, now we try nyonya's curry mee...
The workers in the shop feel so funny to see us keep on walking in and out from the shop... We visited the shop twice in a day...
The taste is definitely different with the normal curry mee that we ate... Yummy!

Satay Babi!Normally we ate satay chicken lar, satay daging lar...
But this time... satay babi...
the taste... erm... undescribable... so, go there and have a try...
But the souce very nice... it got my favourite pineapple as extra ingridient compared to normal souce...

6th...
In other place, the uncle usually gather in a coffee shop to have a cup of coffee or tea...
But I realize...
In Malacca, they gather in a shop to eat ice!

After got permission from mum, me, Alvin, Wen Lin and Kel Vin leaving kl to start our holiday...

Malacca.. A tourists' favorite place!
Bandar Melaka is a town that full of food...
Food... Food... Food...
When we reached, it is already 5.00pm...
We finally reached our lovely host's house - Evelyn's home sweet home...

1st... Her mom's home cook mi hoon... I didn't try it... I was too tired of driving for too long.. so rest in living hall.. anyway, I can hear their talking and laughing loudly!

2nd... We went to a cake shop in Mahkota Parade....For this... Kel Vin said the cake is called "crepe"...
There... got a mirror beside me...
And we saw a live drama... A couple was quarreling outside... We got no idea what they are quarrel at... The guy keep on scold the girl... And at last the waiter went out, and show the guy, bill for the meal... The guy's wallet got not enough money and asked from the girl... Malu and funny!

3rd... Wantan mee... Wantan mee in different state are taste differently...
Malacca is special with no black soy sauce wantan mee... The place where we ate our wantan mee...


Then, all of us feel quite full already... so, we decided go jalan-jalan...
Instead of taking river cruise, which cost RM8 and just sitting there doing nothing, we decided to walk along the river... it took more than 1 hour I think...
On the way, we saw this... and the two kids are trying to play with it...haha...When we finally finish 1 round around the river... and got back to our destination... we saw this little boy is sitting on the floor... poor little boy, he didn't even wear his shoes...Habis jalan-jalan... and we feel hungry again...

4th... U can't miss this out in Malacca...

Alvin is trying to eat the chili again... Previous time, he failed to eat it... But this time, he said is not spicy! Erm... Check it out when you are in Malacca, k?Evelyn... She enjoyed a lot... She ate the most at the beginning... but at last... Guess! who ate the most? haha... Cheng... Cheng... Cheng...
5th... Oyster Goreng... Standard price RM6... Standard size...
We are discussing that may be is the hawker felt ma fan to remember so much things... so east way out... standardize everything...

6th... Makan beside the Longkang...
Malaysia got a lot of places which are famous for nice food are usually beside longkang... I don't know why.. May be got "extra taste" made the food more tasty...
I feel very satisfy... Because I manage to "force" Alvin eat a small piece of ginger... Just a very very very small piece... Haha... I love to eat ginger!

7th... Tau Fu Fa... It is very different... As there are a lot of favors... Not like what you usual get... plain 1 type...
We ate black sesame tau fu fa... The soya bean drink also with different types of favors... I ordered a ginger taste one... and it taste... Super good!
We got to know Wen Lin's soya story... want to know? Ask her...ahah...

8th... Asam Fish... The clay pot asam fish taste so nice...
However, we are really very full... and when we took this last meal, we are wondering it is supper or breakfast... as it is already 12am! We ate from 6pm to 12am... and got no idea which one is dinner, supper or breakfast... haha...
So, in conclusion... we ate a lot of food for supper!

Highlight 1...
From 6th to 8th, I am so sorry that there are no any photo to show you how it is look like... As our very cute sister, Wen Lin, she forget where is her camera... She thought she lost it or left it in the satey celup place... So, we help her find everywhere possible in the car... but still can't find it... We felt so sad as the camera gone, pictures are gone too... At last, when reach home, I saw something beside the car's carpet, it was her camera... It is already 12.30am, we happily shock sendiri outside evelyn's house... haha... Anyway, lost and found is seriously made us very happy!

Highlight 2...
During the trip, we found out that eating too much will cause people have hearing problem...
